The 100 Women International Women’s Day Conference held on 4th March, 2022 in partnership with AXA Mansard Insurance PLC. This year’s edition was a hybrid event that was themed: Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow, #BreakTheBias, in alignment with the global theme for International Women’s Day 2022.


The conference comprised of three sessions namely: Presentations, Capacity Development session and the Pitch Competition finale.
Five distinguished Female Industry leaders addressed topical challenges that perpetuate the systemic biases that women grapple with globally, and recommended sustainable solutions that will level the playing field for women regardless of caste, age and social strata.
100 Women also launched her Global Mentorship Program in partnership with Women Impacting Nigeria for women in business and career.
The conference hosted: Mrs. Rashidat Adebisi , Chief Client Officer, AXA Mansard Insurance. She presented ways women can develop themselves as entrepreneurs. Mrs. Titilola Vivour Adeniyi , Executive Secretary, Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency addressed the different manifestations of inequality in Nigeria, and proffered solutions to eliminate the menace. Mrs. Enitan Benson, Head of Station Lekki II Tax Station (LIRS) spoke on the relevance of establishing a tax structure for SMEs. Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, First Lady of Lagos State enlightened women about the importance of networking, collaboration, capacity development for women in today’s constantly evolving world. Mrs Fumilayo Kunle Komolafe, Head of Small and Medium Enterprises Island Team at AXA Mansard Insurance PLC spoke about the customized product offerings that AXA Mansard Insurance offers for small and medium scale enterprises.



The capacity development session featured speed-mentoring sessions from Maya Horgan Famodu, the Managing Director Ingressive Capital, Mr.Charles, CEO SME 100 Africa, Mrs Enitan Benson of LIRS, and Mrs. Jumoke Odunlami of AXA Mansard Insurance PLC enlightened the 30 female pitchers on best finance, business structure and investment practices.



The pitch competition finale brought 30 thriving female entrepreneurs from different industries together, as they pitched their businesses to the Judges. Eventually, Mrs Nkedilim Obianwu of Friendlys Sanitary Wears who won the grand prize of 1, Million Naira.
