STELLA OKOLI

Stella Okoli is a female entrepreneur born in 1994. She attended the Federal Science School in Lagos before moving to the United Kingdom to study Pharmacy at the University of Bradord and Biopharmaceutics at the University of London.

She started her career at Middlese Hospital as a Pharmacist before running to Nigeria. In 1981, she started importing pharmaceuticals and founded Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries in 1984, with branches in Liberia and Sierra Leone. The company now produces over seventy different product lines.

Stella is a recipient of the national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger(OON). She is a public health advocate and philanthropist, supporting and promoting causes in areas of youth development, entrepreneurship and health. After her son, Chike, passed away from an undetected heart condition, she set up the Chike Okoli Foundation to create awareness on heart disease.

On the initiative, Mazi Sam Ohabunwa former Managing Director of Neimeth International and a fellow of the Pharmacetical Society of Nigeria said of the Foundation: ‘Some people know how to turn grief to something spectacular. This foundation is one of them’.
