Periods do make us feel really uncomfortable and irritated by people, our surroundings and sometimes ourselves. You’re bleeding and half the time you don’t understand how you feel.

We are always here to help, so here are some tips that would make you feel less miserable and eventually better.

Eat Clean. Junk food would worsen the discomfort you feel during your period, so it is advisable to stay away from them. Eat vegetable, fruits and healthy foods.

Drink lots of water. During this period, you might feel dehydrated and that could heighten the discomfort you feel; so drink lots of water and stay hydrated at all times.

Clean up regularly. Make sure you change your sanitary towel as frequently as possible. Take baths frequently too, and this would leave you feeling refreshed practically all the time.

Exercise. Take short walks and perform minor exercises like yoga, stretching as these would ease blood flow and reduce cramps around the body. Do not just lie in one spot.

Apply heat. You could place a hot water bottle on your belly, drink warm cocoa or tea. These also help blood flow and ease the menstrual cramps.

Hopefully by your next period, one or two of these tips can make you feel better than you usual do.
