How do you unwind from all the stress of the week’s work? Do you just keep working into the weekend or take breaks? Health-wise, it is advisable to rest the body and mind to avoid it packing up at the wrong time. And as women, we always have so many activities to balance but there should be some very important things to do during the weekend.
Here are some of those good habits that are practiced by successful entrepreneurs;
Find a refueling ritual. Find a ritual that you can follow every weekend that gives that satisfactory feeling of being refreshed. It could be exercising, music, family time, religious or circular events. Following a ritual can energize you for the up and coming week. No matter how hardworking one is or how easy it is to balance work and other things, refueling is great for the body and mind.
Spend time in solitude. After meetings and engagements, it is sometimes required that one finds time to be all alone to think, sort out problems, check one’s progress and plan for the further future. These are great opportunities for ‘free writing’: Free writing is a technique in which a person writes continuously for a set period of time without regard to spelling, grammar, or topic. It produces raw, often unusable material, but helps overcome blocks of apathy and self-criticism. (Wikipedia)
Reflect. Evaluating how well the past week went, how to improve on the upcoming week. Reflecting on the past week helps the entrepreneur to know which practices to keep up and those to drop in their business. Reflection is a valuable investment of ones time that would help to set goals for more successful weeks ahead.
Plan for the coming week. Don’t wait till Monday before you start drawing a plan for the week; after reflecting on the previous week and reevaluating your goals, it’s time to plan the week and accomplish those goals. Planning out your week helps to guard against procrastination, getting involved in irrelevant and unproductive activities.
Bonus. Learn something new.
